“ Open plains zoo, with family friendly fun. Most enjoyable and very informative and educational. Well worth the trip and value for money. I really enjoyed the coach tour Brough the zoo and animal enclosures with a host giving us information as we go along

The family loved it! Can’t go wrong with seeing animals with my children. Great place to visit for a family outing on school holidays. Enjoyed the food and coffee and the staff were lovely. Will definitely go again though will most likely partake in some of the animal feeding experience that is available.
I went to Monarto Zoo. I picked this place because it is a safari style zoo. I wasn't disappointed. There were safari tour buses every 15min with the guides and they were funny and friendly. The animals all looked happy and relaxed in the big enclosure that was amazing to see. I was happy when the giraffes came close to the bus to say hello!
Amazing what's on your own doorstep, have lived 70ks from Monarto and never visited in all its time. When we finally did, you get that safari feel, travelling through the various compounds. We had a warm pleasant day and all the animals were out enjoying it as well which was perfect. The commentary on the numerous international breeding programs Monarto is involved in, delivered by the keepers was most interesting and the level of their involvement impressive. Five out of five.
Was good to have the tickets and all paid before we got to the Zoo having 3 Grand Children with us. We all thoroughly enjoyed the full day we spent there, the Zoo holds its own with any other Open Range Zoo in Australia. They are all different and unique from each other. Excellent experience - would give it more than 5!
“Monarto Safari Park is one of the largest open-range zoos in the world spanning more than 1,500 hectares and home to more than 500 animals and 50 species of exotic and native mammals, birds and reptiles.”
