The Cairns Aquarium was really lovely, as it’s only very new it was clean and nice. There is a large range of animals and fish to see. Our children were very happy to be able to crawl through the tunnels and spaces created to be amongst the Sea Life. Would recommend.

Went with my family it was a great day out my 3 year old

Went with my family it was a great day out my 3 year old. We loved it lots of reef sharks in the main tank to see. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was we were finished in a couple of hours although it's good if you are short on time and can't spend all day.

A great facility

A great facility. Informative talks provided by the friendly staff. Awesome displays. You could sit for hours watching the various fish swimming inside the large display tanks. Looked like they had a great interactive area for children as well. Definitely worth a visit.

First time there and really enjoyed it

First time there and really enjoyed it. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Spend about 2 hours and know about more about the history on the Great Barrier Reef. If anyone goes up to Cairns definitely have a look, it’s worth it. Recommend it to anyone.

This is the best aquarium I have ever been to

This is the best aquarium I have ever been to, with amazing and informative staff on hand to answer any questions! Would definitely recommended to anyone wanting to go here, there is also an amazing restaurant attached to the aquarium, selling the most amazing wraps I have ever had!

Cairns Aquarium is a fun

Cairns Aquarium is a fun, interactive and educational outing for the kids if you have a rainy afternoon or spare morning to fill. We had lunch after at Dundee’s seafood restaurant on sight where we can sit and view marine life through a large aquarium window.

Cairns Aquarium is an absolutely beautiful place

Cairns Aquarium is an absolutely beautiful place. My children and I spent hours watching all the amazing creatures and even got to touch some starfish. We went in the morning and it was extremely busy so we left for a couple of hours for lunch then come back, it was really quiet in the afternoon so I recommend going then. Also if you attend the keepers doing talks they are very interesting to listen to.

Pretty good aquarium for the size of the facility

Pretty good aquarium for the size of the facility. Great for children, not so much for adults. I liked all the information beside and around each tank etc. Very informative and good to read a little about each animal. Fairly quiet when we went during the week.

Expensive to visit but
Joe Reid 3 months ago

Expensive to visit but, in my view, definitely worth it. All the talks were informative and funny. Incredibly modern building with a fantastic array of Aussie wild and marine life. Plenty to look at so you’ll be there for a few hours minimum. Definitely worth a visit!
