Great tour and amazing place, our guide Tim was amazing and gave us a ton of info on Tasmanian and Hobart's history and interesting info about the place! You get just enough time in the rainforests and the Russell Falls - a couple of spots on the way including Salmon Ponds were well chosen as well! Don't miss this when in Tasmania!

A well-packaged tour and sufficient time were given to explore the National Park to the fullest

A well-packaged tour and sufficient time were given to explore the National Park to the fullest. It would have been a great experience had I not chosen the "lunch" option. It should have been better arranged (eg. Lunch voucher given or otherwise) so that we would not have to be caught in an awkward situation when the servicing staff at the cafe had no clue about the lunch arrangement. We followed the instruction of our guide, ie. to just report our names at the cafe and tell them we are with the tour group. The servicing staff was clueless and left us waiting for a while and when we asked again, she asked if we were prepared to pay for our meal first. That totally ruined my appetite and my day. It turned out there was only one servicing staff who knew what was going on, but she happened to only come over afterwards. This could be avoided had a lunch voucher be provided to us at the start.

We had a great day in Salmon Ponds and Mt Field National Park

We had a great day in Salmon Ponds and Mt Field National Park. Booking was easy, the group was a good size (probably about 15 people) and the guide was extraordinary, he seemed to know everything there is to know, both while driving through the country and in Mt Field and Salmon Ponds. Breakfast and lunch were great, and the scenery was beautiful. It was good that we could choose for ourselves if we wanted to do a longer or shorter walk in the national park, it made everybody get their own experience and not being pulled back or stressed by the others. A great day!

I recently did the Russell Falls and Mt Field National Park day tour and really enjoyed the experience

I recently did the Russell Falls and Mt Field National Park day tour and really enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, providing us with a wide array of knowledge about the area, history, flora and fauna of the area as well as recommending to us other great tourist spots to visit. We did two walks on the day which are easy level walks and everyone in the group, no matter what age and fitness level was able to do and enjoy. The Russell Falls was well worth a visit and there are plenty of good photo opportunities, standing next to one of the tall trees that you can see in the national park. I would definitely recommend this tour to nature lovers who are interested in learning more about the area, its plants and animal life. There was also plenty of time for lunch and souvenir shopping. I choose to bring my own lunch but you can also book lunch as part of the tour or purchase your lunch, once you arrive at the national park. Overall it was a great experience and a lovely day out.

I found the tour of Mt Field National Park to be an excellent experience

I found the tour of Mt Field National Park to be an excellent experience. The Salmon Ponds, our first stop, was very interesting and the ponds themselves quite beautiful. It was also great to catch sight of a platypus in the river. In all a relaxing and peaceful setting. The national park with its magnificent ancient tall trees and incredible waterfalls- the best in Australia- was awe inspiring. the driver/guide, Ellesse, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable/informative and very pleasant. Overall I found the tour very pleasing and would recommend it to my friends who will be visiting Hobart next month. Thank you, Elyesse for such an enjoyable trip. Karin Fox
