“ We had a really great time at Port Arthur. Scary stories in dark scary rooms that could be haunted, what could you ask for.
The tour was on time and well organised. The historic sight is fantastic. Tour guide was great- had an excellent knowledge of the history and put in a lot of effort to make sure everyone was scared. Would recommend this tour to friends and family.
We had a really great time at Port Arthur. Scary stories in dark scary rooms that could be haunted, what could you ask for.
My wife and I decided to treat our four grandchildren to a weekend away at Port Arther. We booked for all of us to participate on the ghost tour, which was very enjoyable, the only problem we had was understanding our American speaking tour guide at times. I am almost sure there would be plenty of Tasmanians able to carry out this position.
It was a very interesting experience. The staff did well to inform everyone on what the night had in store. Not scary but very creepy and definitely something different to do
We had a great time, it was a fascinating place to visit especially during the night! The guide was very knowledgable and tried to tell us as much as he could regarding the place and the events that happened. Length of the tour was perfect. Was grateful for my warm clothes and raincoat; although it was late summer, it got chilly and rainy right from the start. Location was a bit difficult to find, especially in the dark, as we didn't have gps. Would definitely recommend this tour!
I took my step daughter, who is 14. We both loved it. The backdrop of the historic township of Port Arthur (jails, old churches,1800's operating rooms) at dusk provided the perfect atmosphere for the ghoulish and graphic stories told by our guide, Topher (who did a fantastic job). I would highly recommend it and feel the price of the tour is reasonable for what you get.
We spent the day exploring Port Arthur and ended it with this ghost tour, it was awesome! 90 minutes exploring the spooky ruins and hearing of old ghost tales from the area. It wasn't terrifying, there were children on the tour and they seemed okay, but it was a really fun way to hear the stories and see the place at night. I would highly recommend the tour!
Ghost tour was fun with history thrown in as stories Very interesting and entertaining Dinner afterwards was also a highlight ,beautiful food and very attentive and really pleasant staff Thank you all
Had a great tour guide. He was interesting, informative and kept it exciting. He ran it on time and completed it for 1.5 hours ( as mentioned ). He concluded by informing everyone to stay staff on the roads and drive carefully.
Great experience. Well presented and timed. Only downside was the size of the group (35) too many for some of the small places we visited. Otherwise a great experience I would be happy to repeat.
“Even if you don't see any "paranormal activity" you will learn about the history of Port Arthur and hear stories you will want to share with your friends.”
