Hit the waters for an Australian-first aquatic experience, on a tour to swim with Humpback whales in the waters off QLD's Sunshine Coast! Take advantage of this rare opportunity to join in a truly life-changing experience, swimming alongside one of the world's largest and most gentle creatures over the course of a half day 4 hour tour with a limited maximum group size of 20 people to keep the experience both uncrowded and eco-friendly. The whale swimming tour departs from Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast and is available each day between July and October, and provide a firsthand look at these ocean giants as they play, dive, breach and slap their fins.
Once whales have been spotted, groups of 10 swimmers will be sent out on a floating line to get acquainted with the whales, and with all equipment such as snorkelling gear and wetsuits provided, you'll have everything you need to come along and tick one of life's true bucket list items off your agenda. I had a fabulous time on this tour
4 years agoI had a fabulous time on this tour. The crew were great and everything ran smoothly. I showed up at 7:30am a half hour before the 8am departure and they were ready and streamlined the process to get snorkel and wetsuit gear. People who were late were left behind which I really appreciated. We got our full day out with the whales. Unfortunately the whales didn't cooperate for swimming with them but we found a great group that we followed for quite some time watching them breach and splash around. Only complaint is that I didn't get to see them in the water but they are wild creatures and choose for themselves.

5 years agoAll in all it was a lovely day. The weather was beautiful and the staff very friendly. As with nature it has its own agenda. We got to see the whales from the boat but clearly they did not want to interact with us. But I did enjoy my day. Thank you
Booked for Saturday but due to a p & o cruise docking we got bumped to Sunday
5 years agoBooked for Saturday but due to a p & o cruise docking we got bumped to Sunday, only to get an email Saturday afternoon cancelling our trip. Still waiting to re-book and organise once again for travel and accomodation, it's turned into a very expensive, disappointing birthday present.
we swam with the whales yesterday saw 6-7 whales we got in the water 8-10 times it was great fun the crew were great & we got to swim with a cow bull & calf that was so cool we had 11 people on a 40 foot cat there was so much room (max 20 people) if you get a chance you should do this
